Kokomo Event Center Meeting Planners Guide

The 2010 Kokomo Pet Expo is scheduled for September 25th, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Kokomo Event Center. The expo has been previously planned by the Kokomo Humane Society and has now passed hands to the Kokomo Event Center for its fourth year. Our event combines entertainment and education for pet lovers in a trade show environment. Our show will have rescue groups, animal welfare organiza- tions, veterinarians, pet groomers, pet photographers, and other vendors promoting pet services.

Admission is $3.00 for adults, and free for children 12 and under. In retribution for their help to the Event Center as we took over the Expo, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Kokomo Humane Society.

11:45- A Critter’s Chance Rescue Group presentation & demonstration on Exotic Pet Rescue and Care
12:15- Anything’s Pawsible Agility Demonstration
1:00- Kokomo Pet Expo Pageant
2:30- Indy Disc Dogs Performance
3:00- Ask the Vet question and answer session with Dr. Bob Mason of Jefferson Road Animal Hospital

Kokomo Pet Expo Pet Pageant

New to the show this year, the expo will feature a ‘pet pageant.’ Entry is free and all pets are welcome to participate. The Pet Pageant is judged in three categories: Best Dressed Talent Personality Pets may enter one or all the categories listed. Judges will give each pet a score of 1-10, with 10 being the highest. Scores will be calculated and the highest score in each category will win. There will be a four winners; one winner for each category and an ‘overall’ Pet Pageant winner.
